Red Giant Mustard Seedling

Bold Color • Spicy Flavor • Cold-Hardy

Red Giant Mustard Greens are a striking cool-season green with large, deep reddish-purple leaves and a bold mustard flavor. They bring both color and productivity to fall gardens and can be harvested young for tender leaves or allowed to mature for larger cooking greens.

Everyday & Traditional Uses

Use young leaves fresh in salads and sandwiches, or cook mature leaves by sautéing, steaming, braising, or adding them to soups and stews. Excellent prepared as traditional greens with garlic, onions, peppers, smoked meats, or your favorite seasonings.

Fall & Cold Tolerance

Red Giant Mustard thrives in cool fall weather and tolerates light frost. Cooler temperatures can help mellow some of the sharp mustard flavor. Severe or prolonged freezes can still damage the foliage.

Quick Growing Tips

Grow in full sun to partial shade with fertile, well-draining soil and consistent moisture. Harvest larger outer leaves first and leave the center growing for continued harvests.
